Policies with fuel products allow you to control when, where, and how much your drivers can fuel. You'll be able to set usage limits, restrict locations, require prompts, and enforce geofencing—giving you full visibility and control over fuel spend.

Policy controls
The following controls are available for policies created for fuel:
Limits: Define how much of each product a driver will be able to purchase. Limits can be in terms of dollars, gallons, or transactions and can be reset daily or weekly.
Fuel Products that can be managed under policies are: Diesel, Reefer, DEF, Additives, Oil, Gas and Compressed Natural Gas.
Locations: Drivers can only see the locations you want them to fuel at, allowing fleets to optimize for savings.
Allowed Times: Schedule when a driver can access a code from their policy.
Code Refreshes: Codes refresh after each use and each night at 12am EST
Set Multiple Product Limits
You are able to set up multiple product limits within a single Policy to enforce additional limits on how your drivers can fuel.
The two combinations are:
A Dollar AND Transaction Count limit
Example: Set a diesel limit of $500/day and restrict usage to 1 transaction/day. This policy lets drivers make only one daily transaction, capped at $500.
A Gallon AND Transaction Count limit
Example: Set a diesel limit of 300 gallons/day and restrict usage to 1 transaction/day. This policy lets drivers make only one daily transaction, capped at 300 gallons.
To use this Feature, simply navigate to the Fuel Stops portion of the policy you would like to edit, and click the "+" icon next to the product you'd like to add multiple limits on. Once you add the additional limit, click Save at the bottom of the slide-out to save your changes.
Code unlock requirements
There are additional required components for fuel products that a driver must complete before unlocking the code to fuel:
Geofencing: Requires that a driver be within the location’s geofence and choose an authorized location before they can see their code. Relay requires geofencing.
Prompts: Require validation or capture of Truck #, Driver ID, Odometer reading, and additional security options to unlock the codes on the driver’s Relay app. Relay requires each fuel carrier to have at least 1 required prompt for their driver.
There are two types of prompts:
Exact Match: The information that is entered must match the information their carrier has. Exact Matches are notated with an asterisk. (e.g. Driver ID)
Capture: The information does not have to match, only entered into the app. (e.g. Odometer reading)
Unlocked codes
Once the driver inputs the correct information, their RelayCode will be unlocked. They can view their available policy limits, view instructions on how to pay, and proceed with fueling.
