A Relay Code can only be generated after you have added a funding method to your account. You have three options to fund your transactions:
Tie your existing Direct Bill relationship to your Relay account
Pre-Fund your account with ACH / Credit Card / Wire
Apply for a Credit Line with Relay

Direct Bill
Relay allows you to tie your existing Direct Bill relationship with certain merchants to your Relay Account. Once you have an active Direct Bill relationship enabled through Relay, you do not have to add any additional funds to transact. Instead, the merchant will invoice you for any transactions done via direct bill.
Direct bill works with both one-time codes and policy codes. However, you will only be able to purchase products that the merchant allows on your Direct Bill. For all other products, you must fund your account with using one of the below methods.
To establish a Direct Bill connection with Relay, inquire about Relay as a payment method with your Fuel Merchant Representative.
Pre-funded or 'Restricted'
Relay allows you to pre-fund your balance via ACH, Credit Card, or Wire Payment. Once the funds are settled into your balance, you can use those funds to generate RelayCodes or fund your driver's RelayGo card.
You can fund your account by:
Log into your Relay Portal and navigate to the Transactions tab
In the Transactions Tab, click the green "Add Funds" button on the top right of the page.
Choose and confirm the Amount you would like to deposit into your Relay balance. If you have not added a funding source already, click the "Add" Button to Link a Funding Source.
Once you've chosen the amount you would like to deposit and your funding method, click "Confirm Deposit".
Depending on the funding method, there can be a delay for the funds to be made available and a fee may be applied.
ACH Deposit - No Additional Fee, may take up to 3 business days to settle and be available.
Credit Card Deposit - 3.5% Fee, applied immediately to your balance.
If you have Cash Codes or RelayGo enabled, you will not be eligible to fund via credit card.
Wire Payment - $10 wire fee will be applied to your account. Can take up to 2 hours to be applied. Wire must be initiated before 4 PM ET to be received and applied same day.
Credit Line
Relay does offer credit terms to qualifying customers. If you are a fleet with 10 or more trucks, you are eligible to apply for a Credit Line.
